Lactoferrin is a protein component of milk which can be isolated from bovine colostrum or whey and is technically described as an iron-binding glycoprotein. Owing to its iron-binding properties, Lactoferrin may improve the uptake of iron by the intestinal mucosa.

Cat's Claw (Uncaria tomentosa or 'una de gato') has been traditionally used in Peru for the treatment of a wide range of health problems and to assist digestive complaints and arthritis. It is also known today as a free radical scavenger with antioxidant action.
